Adult Jigsaw Puzzle Competition
Saturday, 04/25, 08/22, 3-5pm, Auditorium: Do you like jigsaw puzzles? If yes, come to our library to participate in our puzzle competition. The rules are simple: Teams of 2-3 people, 500-piece adult puzzles provided by the library, 2 hours to finish the puzzle. The first team to finish wins an adult puzzle. Registration is required! Mondays, 05/04, 06/08, 6-7pm, Auditorium: Join staff at Joanne and Ted Lindsay Foundation Autism Outreach Services (OUCARES) to learn more about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and to learn more about providing support for your loved one with autism. 05/04: What Is Autism: This presentation is about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This event will discuss common presentations of ASD, information about ASD diagnostics, community resources, and self advocacy. This event is geared towards parents, caregivers, professionals, and other interested adults.
06/08: Supporting My Child With Autism: This presentation is about providing support for your loved one with autism. This event will discuss common therapies, interventions, and community programs that could greatly benefit your child, whether your loved one is very young or an adult. This event is geared towards parents and caregivers.

Whether you are thinking about fixing up your own home or buying your first rental property, this workshop is for you. We will talk about the benefits of renovating and adding value to the space you already live in and we will also break down what it takes to start building a real estate portfolio for long-term wealth and financial stability.

American Heart Association’s Family & Friends CPR Course
Mondays, 11/09, 3:30-4:30pm. Auditorium: Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement. This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others interested in learning how to save a life. The course will be taught by Tatyanna Johnson, RN NP (American Heart Association Certified Instructor, RN, Nurse Practitioner). At the end of the course participants will be able to: identify life threatening situations, perform Adult Hands only CPR, utilize the AED on an Adult manikin, and recognize signs of chocking. Each participant will receive a course completion certificate. Ages: 13 and up – Registration is required.

Computer, Internet, and Email Basics
Saturday, 05/02, 07/11, 09/05, 08/08, 10/03, 11/14, 12-2pm: Come to our library to start your adventure with Windows computers. You will learn the basics on how to start using computers, how to do searches on the internet safely, and how to figure out your email folders. Registration is required!

Adult Summer Reading 2026
Summer Reading Kick Off: 06/06/2026, Summer Reading End Celebration: 08/01/2026
Rules:
1. Create an account on pontiac.beanstack.org or sign in if you have one already.
2. During the above dates, read up to three different books that you have not read before. Double entries of the same book will be deleted. The books must be adult, full text chapter books. Graphic books are not allowed.
3. Log your books on Beanstack after you read them.
4. You must read at least one book by 5pm on 07/31.
5. Upon completion of the challenge, you will receive one raffle ticket per book you have read. On our Summer Reading End event on 08/01, you will participate in a raffle drawing. Three raffles will be pulled out and will win a $75, $50, and $25 gift card respectively.
6. You must be present during the raffle drawing to participate. The raffle drawing on 08/01 will take place at 2pm.
7. Eligible participants must have a library card or be able to get one on the day of the raffle (08/01).
