Microfilm Research Services

Please provide month, year, date, and a brief description of what you are looking for, for example, obituary, article featuring a certain person, etc. For a fee of $3 per request, Library staff will search the microfilm collection for your article. It is important to know that the collection is not digitized and we will be researching on microfilm actual every-day newspapers with an average of 30 pages each. Therefore, it is impossible to check long periods of time. A date or a max of 3 days including an approximate date should be given for the research (example: if the approximate date is June 14, the three days could be from June 13 to June 16 or from June 12 to June 15). The Pontiac Public Library Microfilm collection spans from 1835-2019. Please contact the Reference Department, 248-758-3943 and we will work with you on your Reference request.
